This is the piece i out on my blog earlier, it has had more work done to it and the figures have been worked it more. I am not sure if it finished yet but i might just leave it and move on. the marks I have made are influenced by Fiona Rae, but i only wanted to use her as an experiment.

Three Figures
Something i am working on at the moment, being quite fluid with my style and just seeing what happens. i need to work in to the figures a bit more and work the back ground in but so far its looking good :) hopefully it will turn out the way i want it to.
Abstraction and Figuration
This is one painting i did last week, a bit of an experiment with mark making and abstraction, just playing around with different ideas at the moment. Seeing what works and what doesn't. :)

New to this!
This is my first post on my first blog.
I am a painter from Wakefield who recently moved to the BIG CITY!
The people that inspire me are artists such as:
Gerhard Richter, Glenn Brown, Maggi Hambling, Fiona Rae, Lucian Freud and Frank Auerbach. Some of theses painters are still with us and some are not, but all of them have played a part with my work to date. I have chosen both figurative and abstract painters.
After 3 years i have finally taken painting as a serious aspiration in life. This blog is a way to show my interest in art and culture, and also a way to show you some of my work through out my years at Wimbledon and after.
