This is the painting I am doing at the moment, I still have a little bit to do on it but I like to track my development with taking pictures of the different stages. Plus it is a good may to fill my sketchbook and keep a track of my ideas.

Her work is where i get a lot of my inspiration from as she uses figures and abstract marks to make up her paintings. The figures and the marks are thrown in together and make a mess of colour! Some times it is hard to distinguish figures that are locked together from marks she has made but if you look closely you can see it all together. She is known for her work to be very sexual. Most of the time her work has two or more figures (man and woman) locked together, she is not afraid to cause a reaction from her work as it is very provocative.

Post Christmas...

First painting back from the Christmas break! After some tutorials with tutors i decided to push the idea of using film stills and images, this will help me put my work into context. This piece is a lot bigger which will help me get a lot more expressive with my marks and it will enable me to explore more mediums. should have the finished one up my the end of the week :)
